Where to travel in April on an Indian passport
For ordinary Indian passports, tourism travel only.
April is the last month before the Indian summer holidays reprice everything. Once school breaks up, outbound fares from the metros go up and stay up until July, so a trip taken in April and the same trip taken six weeks later are not the same purchase at all.
It is also the month where the gap between a country and a region inside it opens widest. Several destinations here are rated on one coast, one island group or one valley, and the card names which — a warm, dry rating is not much use if it belongs to the side of the country you were not planning to visit.
Every visa rule below was read from the destination’s own government or embassy site, with the date on the country page. If you are booking April to dodge the holiday pricing, that date is the thing to check before you commit to a non-refundable fare.
Of the 25 countries we have verified so far, 22 rate April good or excellent. More are being added as each one is checked against its government’s own sources — this is not yet every country in the world, and a destination missing from this page has usually not been researched yet rather than been ruled out.

Peak season in April: Maldives, Nepal and Uzbekistan. Expect higher prices and more people, and book earlier than you otherwise would — this is about crowds and cost, not weather.
Verified, but April is not their season
These are countries we have checked and published, whose measured weather does not support a April trip. They are here because a destination missing from a page tells you nothing about why — each card carries its own rating for April, and each country page shows the months that do work.
Daily budgets are our own mid-range estimates for one traveller, reviewed between 15 August 2026 and 18 August 2026. They are a guide, not a price anyone charges.
How these are ranked
A month is rated from published temperature and rainfall measurements for real weather stations, not from a general impression of the country.
Ranking is weather only. It says nothing about how easy a country is to enter or what it costs — both are on every card, and the visa rule on each one was read from that government’s own source, with the date shown on the country page.
