Where to travel in June on an Indian passport

For ordinary Indian passports, tourism travel only.

June is when the calendar stops helping you. It is peak school-holiday season and the start of the monsoon over most of India, so demand is at its highest at the moment the obvious destinations are at their wettest.

This is the month where measured rainfall earns its keep. The ratings below are built from millimetres and rain days at named weather stations rather than from a season anyone assumes — and rain days matter more than millimetres, because an afternoon downpour on a hot day is a different holiday from a fortnight of grey. A destination that is wet in the part everyone photographs may be dry in the part nobody mentions, which is why the card names the region behind its rating.

If nothing here fits, the honest answer is to move the dates rather than the destination. May and July are linked at the foot of the page.

Of the 25 countries we have verified so far, 20 rate June good or excellent. More are being added as each one is checked against its government’s own sources — this is not yet every country in the world, and a destination missing from this page has usually not been researched yet rather than been ruled out.

Best in June

Peak season in June: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Singapore and Turkey. Expect higher prices and more people, and book earlier than you otherwise would — this is about crowds and cost, not weather.

Verified, but June is not their season

These are countries we have checked and published, whose measured weather does not support a June trip. They are here because a destination missing from a page tells you nothing about why — each card carries its own rating for June, and each country page shows the months that do work.

Daily budgets are our own mid-range estimates for one traveller, reviewed between 15 August 2026 and 18 August 2026. They are a guide, not a price anyone charges.

How these are ranked

Ratings weigh rain days as heavily as millimetres, because a short daily shower and a fortnight of steady rain are not the same holiday even when the totals match.

Ranking is weather only. It says nothing about how easy a country is to enter or what it costs — both are on every card, and the visa rule on each one was read from that government’s own source, with the date shown on the country page.
